Our first night is a group orientation lead by our Deans.  We review what is expected of our students over the week as well as a reminder on rules and regulations.  After which students have time to settle into their cabins, get to know their bunk mates and counselor(s).

                                Monday Night:  Piano Lecture Recital

                                Picture
An evening of piano music and lecture is offered to us by June Lusk Nelson, Wildwood co-founder, accomplished pianist and music educator.  Mrs. Nelson performs a wide spectrum of piano literature from Bach and Scarlatti to Stravinsky and Kohs. Her concerts are noted for their creative programming. During this evening she shares historical insights about each selection and its composer.

Tuesday Night: Games & Folk Dancing

                                Picture
Students come together for an evening of fun games and group folk dancing lead by their counselors and Deans.  It's a great social setting where new friendships are fostered and community values are instilled.

Wednesday Night: Staff & Faculty Recital

                                Picture
This exciting evening is an opportunity for our students to see what their coaches are up to in their professional music careers.  Solos and ensembles treat us to an evening of music that feature our coaches, faculty and the famous Wildwood Dixie Land Band.

                                Thursday Night: Student Solo Recital

                                Picture
We invite students to bring the music they've been working on at home and to talk with their coach about the possibility of being a part of this exciting recital.  Make sure to bring the Piano part so that our resident Pianist can review it and schedule a rehearsal prior to the recital.

Friday Night: Student Skits & Social Dance

                                Picture
An evening of jokes, skits and dancing is an opportunity for our students to celebrate the accomplishments they've made over the week.  Students let their hair down and "unwind" listening to contemporary music and sharing memories and highlights from their week with us.

                                Saturday Night: Chamber Concert

                                Picture
Our final evening at camp concludes with an all student chamber ensemble concert allowing small ensembles the opportunity to share with their fellow students the music they've been perfecting over the week outside of Band and Orchestra.
