Each year Wildwood offers two instructional sessions in the summer.  In one week students play their instrument more than in one quarter of their school year. They will be encouraged and challenged by a professional coaching staff from across the music industry.  They have the opportunity to form friendships with other students and to grow both musically and personally over the course of the week.  Students come away with memories to last a life time and new skills to take them into their school year focused and prepared for their schools music program.

Our Intermediate session is designed for students who are entering grades 7 through 9 in September 2011, meeting from July 17th through Sunday July 24th 2011.

Following the Intermediate session, our Senior session runs from Sunday, July 24th through July 31st 2011. Senior session is for students entering grades 10 through 13 in September 2011.

During both weeks students participate in large and small ensembles.  Daily sectional rehearsals for each instrument refine the weeks music selections leading up to the weeks Concert Finale.  Small chamber groups give students the rare opportunity to perform one to a part in trios, quartets and quintets. Students are invited to share their musical talents with everyone on a night of student solos.  Recreational activities and a refreshing mountain setting allow students to relax and gain perspective.
