Emy Eddow, Violin Coach
Emy Eddow received her AA in General Studies from El Camino College and recently graduated with a Bachelors of Music in Music Education from Chapman University. She is currently finishing her teaching credential at California State University, Long Beach to pursue a career in Music Education.
Emy teaches private violin lessons for students of all levels in Torrance, CA. She was also a music tutor at both of her colleges, and has worked as a teaching assistant for a variety of music educators in the Southern California area. Emy has worked closely with the non-profit organization nTyme (North Torrance Youth Musicians Ensemble) since its inception in 2008. She is now the director of both the Beginning and Intermediate Strings classes, and continues to volunteer her time to the program wherever she is needed. Emy began at Wildwood as a student in Jr. High School. When she "aged" out and could no longer attend she returned for 8 years as a counselor. She then served as the Girls Dean for 2 years and has coached the violins since 2016. Emy believes all students have the potential to find success through music and she enjoys fostering the growth of the next generation of musicians. |
