Lisa Yoshida, Violin Coach
Lisa Yoshida is a teacher and performing freelance violinist in the Orange County area. She is a graduate of Chapman University, earning a B.M. in Violin Performance and a French minor in 2019. She has been studying with William Fitzpatrick since her Junior year at the Orange County School of the Arts, where she attended high school.
She was a part of the nTyme ensembles and leadership team during her high school years. Lisa is passionate about contemporary music, and has premiered many student compositions through Chapman’s New Music Ensemble, where she received the New Music Ensemble Award in May 2018. Also, she been accepted with a scholarship as the only violinist for the Domaine Forget Music Festival’s New Music Program for June 2019, in Saint-Irénée, Québec. Lisa will continue her musical studies at California State University Long Beach, for her Masters of Music under the tutelage of Moni Simeonov. She is actively teaching in the Irvine area, where her students have been accepted to many outside orchestras, such as the IUSD Honor Orchestra. |
