Nicole Hudson, Registrar/Website/Social Media
Nicole Hudson began the violin in middle school, and studied privately with Tamsen Beseke for six years. Due to her school not having a strings program she sought ensemble playing in community organizations. She played in various orchestra levels at the Cal State LA Saturday Conservatory of Music (now the Saturday Conservatory of Music), eventually joining Youth Symphony West. In conjunction with violin, she studied voice privately and in the choir at the Conservatory under Carol O’Clarey-Webber. During high school she played with the Pasadena Summer Youth Chamber Orchestra and with the Azusa Pacific University Orchestra for three years under the direction of Ms. Ruth Meints. Through the conservatory she was introduced to Wildwood.
She completed her AA & AS from Pasadena City College where she focused her studies on music and literature. At PCC she played in the Symphony Orchestra. She concurrently studied voice with Dr. Lisa Stidham and sang with the Chamber Sings under Donald Brinegar, the Madrigals under Glen Carlos and performed in the Opera Workshop program under Anne Marie Ketchum. She completed her Bachelors of Arts in Humanities with concentrations in Music and Literature from Thomas Edison State College in 2009. Nicole first attended Wildwood in Junior High and upon graduating high school in 2001 returned as a counselor for several years. She assumed the role of Girls Dean and eventually joined the Board of Directors for Wildwood Music Associates, Inc. During the year she updates the website and social media accounts for the organization. In 2019 she assumed the role of Registrar for the camp. Despite distance, in the age of technology Mrs. Hudson continues to assist and serve the camp remotely throughout the year. Mrs. Hudson previously worked in Student Admissions & Records at Loma Linda University. A former member of the Student Advocate Association at Michigan State University, COM she is a 2013 recipient of the American Osteopathic Foundations Donna Jones Moritsugu Memorial Award. Mrs. Hudson has worked as a professional photographer, and volunteered with NILMDTS. She has served on the governing boards of various philanthropic nonprofit private organizations including the Hickam Officers Spouse Club (Hickam Air force Base, HI), and currently on the Brooks Army Medical Center Auxiliary (Ft. Sam San Antonio, TX). |
