Ron Hoar 1929 - 2005
Ronald E. Hoar, was born November 18, 1929
Ron graduated from Bell High School in 1948. In 1955 he graduated with a Bachelors degree from Whittier College. He later obratined a Masters degree from USC in 1965. He served is country as a member of the United States Marine Corps band for 4 years. For 14 years he served as the Director of the Arcadia High School Marching band. He served as the Director of the Pasadena City College marching band for 17 years, and was consequently the Director of Pasadena Community College Tournament of Roses band for 17 years. He died February 15, 2005 after a short illness. Survived by mother Mildred Hoar of Connecticut, wife Lynn of 53 years, 5 children, Michael, Kevin, Elizabeth of Texas, Mark and Kathryn, 10 grandchildren, a sister Marlene Wehmhoff of Connecticut, a niece and 2 nephews.
